NAFPLIO
Nafplio is the capital of the prefecture of Argolis and is one of the best known and most beautiful destinations in Greece. The history of the place is quite big and it has been through a series of occupations: first the Franks, then the Venetians followed by the Ottoman Turks who lost control to the Venetians for a short while, before retaking the city. The symbols of the city are Palamidi castle, Bourzti and Acronafplia while visitors can visit numerous museums, the St. Spiridon church, Syntagma Square, the LIon of Bavaria etc.
